Good morning Clockers and welcome to all newbies to UDCC, welcome aboard the ship named `High Strangeness'. And, in that regard as you can see from the title - the subject of today's focus on `UFOlogy'.

This high strangeness `discussion' is being brought to you by MUZ (and myself) - as MUZ has taken the time to answer somewhat in depth my Q's yesterday about a particular High Strangeness UFO MUFON report that I featured yesterday on this blog. Indeed, while MUZ's comments probably apply to most high strangeness situations in general - yesterday's featured MUFON report was of a `Loaf of Bread' UFO - that resembled a part Plane/Helicopter/Submarine/Space Shuttle - object. Is some sort of computerish program - programming our atmosphere with visible temporary phenomena?


MUZ - I don't know. It is a complete puzzle. UDCC-Muz and others, I really want you to consider what I am saying here -- what would be so hard to put a hologram into a confined area of space that is then a visual perception? From above OR from BEYOND

Is this some sort of over the top `faction' of those who wish for mankind to be more aware of the `changes to come'?


MUZ - I hope for that. I look at the insanity of those with trhe power in this world, and those who don't dig whats going on and are asleep. I like to think that I have an ionkling and am doing my bit to wake me and others up, but you also want to know there are other forms of help---and a big part of this will be a Tricksterish kind of help. It HAS to be because this entrenchned ignore-ance goes very deep. You find it hard to reason it away. For example you can try and use reason on a 'war on drugs' advocate all day and get nowhere. These rigid notions go deep, and are mingled with millenia-worth of conditioning. I often wonder if these 'high strange' events are meant to trick people out of their 'reason'. UDCC-Your last sentence is the very definition of Fortean events. And, IMO, you are 100% correct of some impressions being VERY DEEP.

Are `aliens' working on some sort of slow but gradual intensification of `weirdness' in lo of some grander event? Are `they appearing as `planes' to appear less threatening or more `normal'?


MUZ - It could be that, but I would say it is not to appear MORE normal but more weird lol. But it ALSO could be man-made. There is that knowledge that so much secret shit is going on and they could be coopting strange phenomena to confuse us. This is what they tend to do. For example you often here some conspiracy theorists right-off the WHOLE of the womens liberation movement as being the plan of the globalists. But this is not true--women had the RIGHT to challenge the patriarchal oppression against them, but what the globalists or elite do, as said is infiltrate and COOPT genuine movements. They have done the same with the psychedelic movement etc--so we have to be aware of this. Their main goal is to KEEP THEIR POWER and to make out they are superior than 'common folk'. UDCC-The global control of `the important info' is true IMO also. The `distractions' the MSM creates is truly easy to see thru if you are not enamered with either political party.

MUZ - I greatly challenge the whole propaganda that we are robots with no freewill--which is the supposed ' philosophical and scientific' idea of humans. And from this BS comes 'is reality a computer programme'. This is VERY dangerous idea, as these same mindsets go about totally trashning planet Earth.

If ANYTHING the enitities whatever they are--and it most likely is diverse--are trying to wake us up from 'our' SILLY notions about reality. We really know jack ALL about reality but many of the arrogant movers and control freaks will not admit this, and like a bull in a China shop are blindly destroying everything! UDCC-Since I look at Phenomenology a little different than just about anyone - literally taking humans and rocks into the same `equalness' (both are spaces) - I see `freewill' and `determinism' in a unique light to most people on this planet. Sky Noise Phenomena Continues Into October - Latest Examples

One of the true mysteries of the past year has been the Sky Noise Phenomena, (SNP) which has been occuring all over the world, but does seem more likely to recur in some locations or general areas. Thanks. This is the one that I referred to in my post. It happened around Tampa where I live. This is the same exact sound that I heard just last week. Mine was a little earlier in the day, so I never detected a flash, but the sound is EXACTLY the same. MacDill AFB is also very close by. I'm very concerned..

Have to mention a Chemtrail plane experience yesterday in the Atlanta area. As I've mentioned before, if one is very aware, you can see the chemtrail planes all `turn on' in a given area of the sky often within seconds of each other. So, yesterday, while with a buddy we see one of the planes painting the sky and I told him to watch as another would appear shortly - and not 20 seconds later..........

Scientific Ufology: How the Application of Scientific Methodology Can Analyze, Illuminate, and Prove the Reality of Ufos

In Search Of The Miraculous - Esoteric

UDCC will take a slight diversion today into another dimension - put on your afterburners - time for a Sunday ride into the country, like in the good ole days.

The title of today's post, is the title of a book by P.D. Ouspensky written many many years ago - *(before your mother was born) - about his search for `esoteric' knowledge held by humans here on planet Earth. What he found was the supposed esoteric knowledge of G.I. Gurdjieff - who elaborated on many `truths' about mankind and his condition within the world and universe. Indeed, Ouspensky found his miracle which he described with just five words on page 261 that I will never forget:

`And then, the miracle began.'

I'm going to get back to Ouspensky momentarily - but - the phrase `In Search Of The Miraculous' (ISOTM) certainly can be applied to the whole field of anomalous actualization's from UFOs to Bigfoot, Ghosts and beyond - perhaps. `Imagined' or not - when humans come across some `space' of what I call `the able to not be' - within them or around them - it may seem that the word `miracle' is the only word that is appropriate.

I think of Blossom Goodchild believing she was being told a `alien contact date'. I think of the exopolitics folks being convinced that a web bot was suggesting Nov. 27th, 2009 as a `alien contact date'. I think of Stanley Fulham and his `special contacts mentally' which brought to him a process of `alien contact dates'. And on and on and on.

I am of the belief the some events are miraculous - to the singular human observer/experiencer. Events that are embedded with the quality of `real' as humans think they experience it. But which, are events that simply `cannot continue' within our phenomenological structure upon the loss of a certain quality associated with their space actualization.

For Ouspensky, like Goodchild and probably like Stanley - `the other' `spoke' `within them'. An other that somehow one was able to objectively separate from our own internal space/body/actualization. Something, that when it happens, almost compels one to `report' about it.

But, back to I-SO-TM, - today I was looking at the reviews of the book on Amazon (link later) and wanted to feature a few of them:
First, the Amazon Description:

First, an admission; I first became aware of O and G from the book called `The Fourth Way' - as potentially an `esoteric' book as you are ever likely to encounter, that led to reading many works by O and a couple more by G. These are books, as the Amazon description above said - inspire folks. Inspire folks to think that their brain can be organized in perhaps a different manner than what is normal accepted.

Indeed, these books inspired a `movement' (with devotees probably like those who ascribe to the coming Thrive Movement perhaps) of folks that EXIST TO THIS DAY - who get together in almost cult like groups to `practice' THE WORK. ----- Yes, the esoteric thought about ones mind for folks following O and G is called `The Work'.

I know, I went to a few `meetings'. Or. This one knows, this one went to a few meetings.

You see, you are forbidden to use the word `I' when attending one of these meetings and are `reminded' EVERY time one speaks in such a manner. And, it really, meaning `the work', IMO, is built upon building awareness via following certain guidelines (and understanding the reasons behind how they build awareness-consciousness). And, as one into the whole consciousness saga, I enjoyed nearly all of O's and G's readings I came across or could find.

The book ISOTM has over 70 Amazon reviews and the average is nearly a FIVE - it's that good a read. Nonetheless, here's some reviewers words:
The core of the "work" is a powerful methodology, but no more so than, say, vipassana, zen, dzogchen or other solid, meditation-based tradition. There is nothing about the fourth way that is any more "esoteric" than these other traditions (that's right, nothing). The biggest difference is that Gurdjieff left behind a legacy of fraudulent teachers and cults, whereas there are many Buddhist and other groups that are reliable. (Certainly, Buddhist and other groups, being made up of people, have their flaws, and there are things to be learned in some (not all!) Gurdjieff groups, but decades of hard-won experience allows me to say that the Gurdjieff tradition is peculiar in attracting power-hungry charlatans who exploit the "rascal sage" idea to gather suckers around themselves. It happens in other traditions, but there, it tends to end in disgrace. In fourth way groups, duping people seems to be a point of pride.) Even groups that are not necessarily exploitative or fraudulent tend to attract people who especially like the idea of being "esoteric," to use a term Ouspensky used, but which was far more appropriate eighty years ago than it is today.

At the very end of his life, Ouspensky seemed to repudiate "the System", as he understood it, although glassy-eyed disciples in that time and this try to rationalize that fact away. Perhaps he realized that any systematic approach to developing our consciousness is impossible, since if we are on a road with a known destination that destination can only be our own projection of what we imagine it to be. No matter. The ability of this man Ouspensky to think systematically was indeed his great strength, and it lent all his writing a clarity and throughness simply unmatched in all of twentieth century "occultism". Nowhere did he need it more than in this reporting of the early teachings of Gurdjieff, when that particular unique idiot was at the zenith of his own development.

 discovered this amazing gem in a used book store and interestingly read it at the same time I read Kuhn's "Structure of Scientific Revolutions". I couldn't possibly heap too much praise on either of these books. Both are life-transforming for those of a scientific bent, and for others too. I opened Ouspensky at random and started reading about the distribution of knowledge among people. He cured me of untold anxiety concerning why so few people have a clue when he said that knowledge has power only to the extent it is concentrated in a few people, how the mass of humanity freely discards what little knowledge is allotted them, and particularly how at certain times humanity discards vast amounts of knowledge in favor of mass insanity.

So, yes, I'm using the bully pulpit to push some `knowledge' at you. LOL. As I know that when UDCC did our focus on those who follow this blog - many have an esoteric bent. OMG High Strangeness - Orbs Follow Car, Then, Man Sees HUGE `Rabbit' - MUFON Report

You know, I have a buddy who once told me that he himself used to make up `Penthouse Letters' in the 1970's that he sent into for publication. The story you are about to read - an account of a high strangeness ORB event - happened YESTERDAY supposedly in Arizona. Here is the description:

While driving east bound from Flagstaff, AZ to Leupp, AZ, I noticed a red light in the sky. It was approx 800 feet in the air and at first I assumed it was a helicopter because of the low flying distance. I rolled the window down to see if I could hear any type of noise; no sound was present. The time was 1:21am; and as I drove onward, the light descended and flew about 4 feet above the ground. I was able to clearly see it light the ground up red. It flew parallel to my vehicle and just about kept the same speed as my vehicle (65mph). The orb itself, was red, and emitting a red glow - darker red in the center, brighter red around the edges. It was to the left of the vehicle, approx 50 yards away. At this point I was feeling panicked, afraid and curious.



As the road turns, I broke sight of the light and while I was turning the bend, a bright light caught my attention in the corner of my eye. The orb, now bright white, and approx 8 inches in diameter, was now flying alongside my vehicle, no more than 8-12 inches above the road. It was flying on the shoulder of the on-coming lane and kept perfect speed with my vehicle (65mph). The time was now 1:24am. While viewing this object, I had no feelings of emotion and I was calm and collected. No noise, besides engine noise was noted, the only notable difference was the presence of cellphone signal (there usually is none). It followed my vehicle for a quarter mile, and it sped up 2 car lengths in front of me and abruptly made a 90 degree turn, upward into the sky, at which point, I leaned forward to see it shoot across the sky, like a shooting star toward the East. It was not as bright when I saw it disappear in the sky.


I arrived at my destination at 1:36am. As I was pulling into the driveway, my headlights shone upon a rabbit, sitting where I was about to park. I stopped within 3 feet of the rabbit, which did not move, flinch, blink, of any sort. It was very large and from the ground to the top of the head (not including the ear length) about the height of my hood (approx 37 inches tall). It's width was approx 20 inches wide and it was brown and white mixed color with no distinct pattern or spots. It's eyes were black and it was sitting upright, like that of a cat. The ears were very stiff, long and together, and they were slanted back at an angle, like that of a jackrabbit. At this point, I began to panic, and I called a 2nd party to tell them of what I was seeing. The car remained running with the headlights on and I sat staring at this huge rabbit for about 5 minutes. After talking, I turned my engine and headlights off, and with the outside light from the house, I was able to keep eye contact with the rabbit as I exited the vehicle and proceeded to walk slowly around the rear of the vehicle and into the house, not breaking sight. The area seemed to be still and calm; I did not hear any usual night noises (bugs chirping, dogs barking, etc). Once inside, I remained on the phone until 2:12am.

Now, before you write off the above account a few things come into my mind. First, HUGE rabbits have been reported before in Fortean situations. And, of course, Orbs have also been noted to follow cars, change colors, and take off into the sky. And, finally, the `silence' associated with the entire event - is also a near standard in the world of Forteana.

Overlays of a perceptual reality? Aliens? A trip outside the time-cone? A Fortean Joke - The Trickster?

July 31st, 1991 - What The Hell Is That?

There are tales of UFO and tales of high strangeness - Clockers will enjoy this one taken from the MUFON site this morning. It's about an event on the evening of 7-31-1991 -- well, let me let the report speak for itself:

Ok. I was with my bff Loura, and her boyfriend, Jason. It was the night of my 16th birthday. That night, I had a bday party . We were just enjoying the fresh night air outside.We were all looking at the stars, watching for shooting stars. I started hearing a loud but muffled humming noise, like a bumble bee makes.but it sounded electrical, a very unique noise I'd never heard before. All of a sudden, my girlfriend shouted, "Oh my GOD!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!??" I looked over my left shoulder to the mansion across the street from my moms house.on top of this huge house was a craft. It had circle lights of red, orange, green and yellow all around the middle of the craft. It was hovering over the house in a constant, frozen like state. we were simply MESMORIZED ! It did not move. And I know that not even a helicopter or even a fighter jet can do that for as long as this craft did.We stood there with our eyes wide open staring and our mouths agape. "NO REALLY guys, what IS that?? It's not a plane, not anything from our technology! " I said, trying to make sense of what we were all three seeing plain as day right in front of our very faces. We stood there, amazed and in a trance. We were simply spellbound by the mysterious thing we saw and how it hovered motionless and magically and perfectly just a foot above this house.we watched it for a good ten to 15 minutes. I wAs totally mystified by this bright colorful disc that I saw. It was about 100 feet across. It was about 20 yards away. It continued to hover above the house . Then suddenly I got very very scared.I was frozen with fear. What was this amazing thing?? "it's probly abducting the people in that house" I said.Laura agreed, she thought so too.I asked Jason if he saw and heard what we did.he reluctantly said"yes, I do see that and it's actually really starting to creep me out!" I felt a shockwave of emotion building up inside me. I have never been so amazed and fascinated and so scared in my whole life. Jason started walking towards the craft. Laura shouted , "what are you crazy where do you think you are going, mister?" "no... It's ok... I want to see "them"! It'd be so cool!" he argued.Then out of still night I just got this strong feeling that WE were being watched.Like whatever WE had been looking at realized that we were there, RIGHT there next to it. A big whitelight shined down from the bottom center of the disc. Well I wasn't ABOUT to stick around there and find out what Happens next. I turned around and ran as fast as I could back to my moms house. Laura and Jason quickly followed suit. Once we got inside the house, we went into my bedroom and I opened the window.I looked out my window and I could still see the white light,it was scanning over my moms house and yard. Like "they" were searching for us. It was scary as hell. Just then, our toy terrier TEddy started barking and yelping. I didn't want to wake anyone up so we all sat on the bed in my room, stunned, in total awe and silence. , and total disbelief of what we had just seen. "Are you sure that thing wasn't a plane?" Laura asked."awjeez babe, that was crazy! That's what it was!" we nervously all laughed it off.still amazed , We all three agreed with a pinky promise to never breath one word of what we saw, for fear of ridicule. Noone would believe us... they'd think we were stupid, crazy, or just lying for attention. Just last year (20 years later) I finally spilled the beans to my parents about what happenned and what I saw that starry night. They laughed, thinking I was kidding."no mom, for real." I argued. "must of been some good drugs..." my dad kidded me.Well we Were completely sober.Neither myself nor Laura or Jason have scitzophrenia or dilusions. We had no drugs, this thing was as real as real can be. I SaW this fascinating thing and ever since have been abducted. I am seeking hypnosis therapy to recall surpressed memories of these encounters.all I know is that One night last week I fell asleep in my bed and later that night must have traveled thru astral plains.I was taken out of my bed and placed on a table.the Greyson put this nasty gel in my mouth, I think to keep me from screaming. When I woke up I still had some gross jelly stuff in my mouth , tasting it still. and could still smell the hospital like, sterile but mediciny like smell of the beings. I woke up feeling violated, in every way. I would like to know what is going on.!!

A Respectful Reply To Nick Redfern's `Contactees and the Absurdities of Ufology' Post

This post, originally from Feb. 2010, and on my main Squidoo.com page, - is a copy and paste. I thought I'd bring it today to my UDCC readers as I am removing it from my Squidoo page:

The Many Forms Of High Strangeness

Very recently, Nick Redfern, one of UFO's most respected and thoughtful writers and commentator - wrote a blog piece for a Fortean based website called `Contactees and the Absurdities Of Ufology' (I will have that link at the bottom of this page) - to which I'd like to offer my reply as another UFO and esoteric thought blogger - who also loves the Fortean side of things. And, as my readers know, when dealing with `contactees' and `UFO's' - one can indeed find the type of experiences that fall into what is commonly called `High Strangeness'.



Now, Nick makes several points in his serious post about the UFO devotees of today being `TOO SERIOUS' about the UFO subject matter that first person observation reports include. (Today's devotees wanting to edit out the high strangeness in the past or present reports associated with UFO's.) And that the `contactees' of yesterday were so much more colorful than today's sour-dour abductees by UFO's. Nick makes points about how the whole `contact' with aliens has changed, in his opinion, from 50 or so years ago in the early days of the UFO phenomena, and how a lot of the contactees of yesteryear had links to California and the craziness there by the late 1960's. And, Redfern also points out that the lack of seriousness attitude about UFO's and contactees could at one time attract 1000's - and yet today - with full marketing - today's UFO gatherings, (with alien abductees/contactees) draw 250 persons or so at most. (I have to think that some of this lack of motivational interest to attend these events is our societies desensitization to `alien information' over the last decades via movies and such - and the internet froth about UFO's - and the general wariness of `strange people' - ie:contactees.)


Then, finally, Mr. Redfern tells us of the fact that these `contacts' of men from Venus and such - NEVER occurred (of course?) and that they are similar to the contacts with goblins, gods, angels and fairies of yesterdays by-gone era -- and that these same archetype's will, in Nicks opinion, continue to change from the ones of abduction today - into who knows what in the future.


All in all, the post is a very good review of one of the mind approaches that must be taken - if one is to understand a part of high strangeness - and the possible reality structure in which we reside - which might indeed produce it's own phenomena in relation to mankind's cultural and consciousness level. Heavy Stuff indeed.


To nearly all of which I concur and say - here here.


But, now, I'd like to at least reply to the article directly with my take on various nuances that might be missed or glossed over in Nicks sweeping article about high strangeness - and even comment on a thing or two of his observations in his posting.


And, I guess the first thing I'd like to point out is that nearly the same absurdities are still happening today - with many still receiving messages from the space brothers - either in their brains, in person, or on crafts. (And more than in California or any hot spot and certainly with less LSD in circulation than yesteryear.) And, as is kinda implied in Redferns article, I also think that 99.99 to 100.00% of these encounters are at best `real subjective realities' with probably no real `solidness' in our reality structure. These `rescuers' of humanity - like angels, or men from Venus --- may indeed be some sort of archetype or meme. That said, unlike Nick, I tend to think they are not random in appearance but probably directed by human intentionality's in some manner.


OR, as my regular readers know - I've speculated that BILLION year old beings/entities - that may be biological, (but most likely not) machine, (most probably) or possibly billion year old dimensional entities - who have nothing better to do than interact with `supreme consciousnesses' on a living planet - may be the source of events like these high strangeness contacts.


And, of course, it is also possible, to probable, that our consciousness is part of a `living matrix' of intentionality's, beliefs, and actualizations - that while normally in `common consensus' (where we see normal, everyday, solid objects) -- can indeed be `switched' to a special consensus -- at least FOR PERCEPTION. Or, it is also about equally possible that this matrix we may exist within is not living - is artificial - and we humans may be nothing more than conscious objects/spaces in a `program'. For some reason, humans wish this to not be the case (but would it matter) - clinging to a hopeful sense of freewill in what appears to be a determined world.


So, I count at least 4 ways above that `high strangeness' - has possible `causes' . And, of course, we already know that high strangeness is NOT confined to UFO's in any way. For example, poltergeists could be `ghosts' in high strangeness mode - doppelgangers could be another `high strangeness' form of ghosts too. OR, Bigfoot's tulpas - a temporal shaping of consciousness itself.


I'd also like to challenge an assumption I see often when dredging up the `archetype' ideas (even while I support them in principle) - First, I think that the `seeing' of `hidden playmates' `fairies' goblins and such may not have been at any higher level than that of children today - which often may be a projection of fears or the lack of understanding ones situation. A creation of a reality for coping more or less - and nothing esoteric or even real perception that needs serious study. Indeed, while these things are mentioned - they certainly didn't seem to have the `meaning' ascribed (IMO) that today's seem to suggest. Today's archetypes seem to be talking to humanity via the individuals nowadays as opposed to more of a focused individual lesson in the past. That is - if `high strangeness is attributed to archetypes.


Frankly, overall, Nick and I have been talking about only one kind of high strangeness too - and IT - may have nothing to do with `our reality' at all. By that I mean - all these goblins and such - men from Venus and such - are seemingly coming from OUTSIDE of the timecone we reside within. And, only for a temporal period - when they are perceivable. And, frankly, it's a mixing of apple and oranges - because - what folks really want to talk about and believe in - when thinking about aliens and such - are aliens that are within the timecone and exist as real solid bodies with space and individuals like you and I. NOT as a meme, temporal character or tulpa.


So, part of my point is that we do not throw out the baby with the bath water. Yes, UFO's - and Bigfoot's - and Ghosts - and Goblins - and Angels - And Demons - And even concepts like Evil and perhaps Love - do seemingly exist and influence humans from beyond the timecone.


But, I plead the case that we do not throw out the potential for real phenomenological aliens, within a craft, that is not hyper-dimensional in any way - and simply end up ascribing all phenomena to temporary `non-realish' phenomena. Not when potential `living locations' may exist within our solar system if not Earth itself (and actually, any location could be developed by an advanced universe traveling group with superior technology) - for example under the oceans or underground or in very remote locations. Or, aliens able to simply employ `invisibleness' when needed.


Lets also not throw out UFO's being more real than archetypes for this reason -- if we are to believe that the `Skinwalker Ranch' had portals to another dimension - and that `portals' exist -- then we certainly do NOT need Archetypes for any significant explanation of UFO's specifically. And, indeed, if we looked more closely at the physics of `portals' - as opposed to the legends of antiquity or meme's of modern-day - we might be closer to the aliens that really matter to humans on Earth.
