The AMOCO Alien Photo .... Vortex

I assure you dear reader that I had no intention whatsoever to write about an alien photo today.... I was simply going into the bin which has links over two years old that I try to sift through on various occasions.... so, today I did that and ran into this link... a Coast To Coast AM Show From 2-16-2012 and I had bookmarked it because... evidently.. I was either researching a guy UDCC readers have been exposed to... or simply doing my original look at his name.... I'm speaking of Chuck Harder.

Now, regular readers may remember Chuck's amazingly co-incidental `thing' of being a patient of one of my lifelong buddies who is a doctor in Florida. My doctor friend told me of a patient of his and gave me his name and number and said to call him... it was Chuck's number... we talked for two hours... I covered my contact with him 3-3-13 in these very pages with a post called `Do E.T.'s Use Modulated Gravity Waves To Communicate?'

Now, if you read the CTC link you saw that CH there too talked about EMP's (attacks)...very similar to what he was exploring with me in 2013.... But, also in the Coast To Coast 
 ...."After he interviewed Lazar, Harder was sent various alien and UFO photos. One of them (which subsequently became known as the Amoco Alien) impressed him with its photographic details, and difficulty to fake during the time frame of the late 1980s."
(CTC) article (see above) he evidently talked about getting the Amoco Alien photo in the mail. 

So, that led me on this additional adventure.

A sometimes great website Forgetomori (where I got the above picture from) ... quoted another website (which I will get to in a moment) as saying very specifically that the above photo... the one that Chuck Harder says was mailed to him... was
 from an ad published in the late 1980s:


“In November of 1989 AMOCO placed a full-page advertisement in Aviation Week and Space Technology magazine headlined "Technology so advanced it will help you answer some big questions." On the back was a full-page color photo of an alien head and shoulders with his four-fingered hand raised in a gesture of friendship.” [Donald M. Ware]

The Forgetomori post specifically sites this link From The National UFO Center as the source for the confident declaration that the photo is from an Ad.. then again... there is NO Picture at the article (weakening the Forgetomori claim?) and there are TONS of fake `alien' pictures on the web.

But, or indeed, Forgetomori  traces the other stories about the picture to specific individuals too... yes, there are OTHER stories. Such as Three stories from 2002 -- from the research into the photo on an Australia UFO website - one story is that the photo: `A Bronze Statue' - said by William Cooper at a UFO conference.... OR.. `A Clay Model' said by Robert Dean in 1996 at a UFO conference.... and finally a man in the movie industry in special effects told the blogger writing the post that it was made by an artist named William Bosco.... (is this simply the common `change' of last names in UFO stories in UFOlogy... seen before and noted before by UDCC?)

None of the above stories have been verified by anyone with any proof in any manner. Of course. The blogger then goes on to offer an final 
I think the picture looks like something that's alive…it seems to have expression. I've seen many beautiful and fantastic sculptures and paintings, but nothing like the expression on this image. Sure...It's only an image, but it's a very intriguing one. And if you take into account the way disinformation is carried out, it might even be real . Who knows for sure? Those who have said they know for sure still have not supplied the evidence.

So, do any of the stories have ANY backup? Well, at the one link above from the National UFO Center... the writer of the post goes on to say he interviewed someone from AMOCO and they said... (red is my emphasis)
AMOCO Advertisement and the Alien 

In November of 1989 AMOCO placed a full-page advertisement in
Aviation Week and Space Technology magazine headlined "Technology
so advanced it will help you answer some big questions." On the
back was a full-page color photo of an alien head and shoulders
with his four-fingered hand raised in a gesture of friendship.
Spokespersons for AMOCO said this is a photo of a ten-inch model.
One NASA employee who received a copy of the photo in the mail said
he thinks it is a photo of an alien taken by another alien with acamera provided by a NASA source. High quality copies show moisture
in the corner of the left eye and thin hairs on the neck. Many
people think this is not a photo of a ten-inch model. I asked the
lady on the advertised 800 number if this ad sold much of their
product. She said no, but they got a tremendous number of inquiries
about the alien picture. This ad was repeated in Aviation Week and
other aerospace magazines, some in even larger format. While I was
in the Air Force we knew this as "Aviation Leak" magazine; because,
much information, when declassified, reached the public through
its pages without being released at a press conference. This
insured responsible and accurate reporting.

So, 10 inch model.... right? And, is this re-telling of the story turning Chuck Harder's mailing into a NASA employee? Or was this mailed around..

But, is it really so nailed down? Is the additional `alien photo by another alien with a NASA camera' just the kind of complete crappola you'd expect from the disinfo folks? Seems that the AMOCO spokesperson isn't named..... Oh... and we haven't even talked about the fact that the National UFO Center's article is only mentioning the photo as a sidenote and is really about many other things in UFOlogy (from their standpoint)
indeed... when one reads the below.. from the  often quoted UFO website... (IMO SPEWING NON SENSE) you might not be so fast to jump upon the declaration of the photo being... well. I'll let you finish that sentence:

So, let me get this straight... in 2009 Forgetomori declares the above website and article as the SOURCE for the photo being an advertisement.... a bit less than credible IMO. Oh, I could not find any issues on Ebay sold for 1989 of `Aviation Leak'... nor are ANY of the supposed other magazines named that the ad was in ... supposedly.
