A Respectful Reply To Nick Redfern's `Contactees and the Absurdities of Ufology' Post

This post, originally from Feb. 2010, and on my main Squidoo.com page, - is a copy and paste. I thought I'd bring it today to my UDCC readers as I am removing it from my Squidoo page:

The Many Forms Of High Strangeness

Very recently, Nick Redfern, one of UFO's most respected and thoughtful writers and commentator - wrote a blog piece for a Fortean based website called `Contactees and the Absurdities Of Ufology' (I will have that link at the bottom of this page) - to which I'd like to offer my reply as another UFO and esoteric thought blogger - who also loves the Fortean side of things. And, as my readers know, when dealing with `contactees' and `UFO's' - one can indeed find the type of experiences that fall into what is commonly called `High Strangeness'.



Now, Nick makes several points in his serious post about the UFO devotees of today being `TOO SERIOUS' about the UFO subject matter that first person observation reports include. (Today's devotees wanting to edit out the high strangeness in the past or present reports associated with UFO's.) And that the `contactees' of yesterday were so much more colorful than today's sour-dour abductees by UFO's. Nick makes points about how the whole `contact' with aliens has changed, in his opinion, from 50 or so years ago in the early days of the UFO phenomena, and how a lot of the contactees of yesteryear had links to California and the craziness there by the late 1960's. And, Redfern also points out that the lack of seriousness attitude about UFO's and contactees could at one time attract 1000's - and yet today - with full marketing - today's UFO gatherings, (with alien abductees/contactees) draw 250 persons or so at most. (I have to think that some of this lack of motivational interest to attend these events is our societies desensitization to `alien information' over the last decades via movies and such - and the internet froth about UFO's - and the general wariness of `strange people' - ie:contactees.)


Then, finally, Mr. Redfern tells us of the fact that these `contacts' of men from Venus and such - NEVER occurred (of course?) and that they are similar to the contacts with goblins, gods, angels and fairies of yesterdays by-gone era -- and that these same archetype's will, in Nicks opinion, continue to change from the ones of abduction today - into who knows what in the future.


All in all, the post is a very good review of one of the mind approaches that must be taken - if one is to understand a part of high strangeness - and the possible reality structure in which we reside - which might indeed produce it's own phenomena in relation to mankind's cultural and consciousness level. Heavy Stuff indeed.


To nearly all of which I concur and say - here here.


But, now, I'd like to at least reply to the article directly with my take on various nuances that might be missed or glossed over in Nicks sweeping article about high strangeness - and even comment on a thing or two of his observations in his posting.


And, I guess the first thing I'd like to point out is that nearly the same absurdities are still happening today - with many still receiving messages from the space brothers - either in their brains, in person, or on crafts. (And more than in California or any hot spot and certainly with less LSD in circulation than yesteryear.) And, as is kinda implied in Redferns article, I also think that 99.99 to 100.00% of these encounters are at best `real subjective realities' with probably no real `solidness' in our reality structure. These `rescuers' of humanity - like angels, or men from Venus --- may indeed be some sort of archetype or meme. That said, unlike Nick, I tend to think they are not random in appearance but probably directed by human intentionality's in some manner.


OR, as my regular readers know - I've speculated that BILLION year old beings/entities - that may be biological, (but most likely not) machine, (most probably) or possibly billion year old dimensional entities - who have nothing better to do than interact with `supreme consciousnesses' on a living planet - may be the source of events like these high strangeness contacts.


And, of course, it is also possible, to probable, that our consciousness is part of a `living matrix' of intentionality's, beliefs, and actualizations - that while normally in `common consensus' (where we see normal, everyday, solid objects) -- can indeed be `switched' to a special consensus -- at least FOR PERCEPTION. Or, it is also about equally possible that this matrix we may exist within is not living - is artificial - and we humans may be nothing more than conscious objects/spaces in a `program'. For some reason, humans wish this to not be the case (but would it matter) - clinging to a hopeful sense of freewill in what appears to be a determined world.


So, I count at least 4 ways above that `high strangeness' - has possible `causes' . And, of course, we already know that high strangeness is NOT confined to UFO's in any way. For example, poltergeists could be `ghosts' in high strangeness mode - doppelgangers could be another `high strangeness' form of ghosts too. OR, Bigfoot's tulpas - a temporal shaping of consciousness itself.


I'd also like to challenge an assumption I see often when dredging up the `archetype' ideas (even while I support them in principle) - First, I think that the `seeing' of `hidden playmates' `fairies' goblins and such may not have been at any higher level than that of children today - which often may be a projection of fears or the lack of understanding ones situation. A creation of a reality for coping more or less - and nothing esoteric or even real perception that needs serious study. Indeed, while these things are mentioned - they certainly didn't seem to have the `meaning' ascribed (IMO) that today's seem to suggest. Today's archetypes seem to be talking to humanity via the individuals nowadays as opposed to more of a focused individual lesson in the past. That is - if `high strangeness is attributed to archetypes.


Frankly, overall, Nick and I have been talking about only one kind of high strangeness too - and IT - may have nothing to do with `our reality' at all. By that I mean - all these goblins and such - men from Venus and such - are seemingly coming from OUTSIDE of the timecone we reside within. And, only for a temporal period - when they are perceivable. And, frankly, it's a mixing of apple and oranges - because - what folks really want to talk about and believe in - when thinking about aliens and such - are aliens that are within the timecone and exist as real solid bodies with space and individuals like you and I. NOT as a meme, temporal character or tulpa.


So, part of my point is that we do not throw out the baby with the bath water. Yes, UFO's - and Bigfoot's - and Ghosts - and Goblins - and Angels - And Demons - And even concepts like Evil and perhaps Love - do seemingly exist and influence humans from beyond the timecone.


But, I plead the case that we do not throw out the potential for real phenomenological aliens, within a craft, that is not hyper-dimensional in any way - and simply end up ascribing all phenomena to temporary `non-realish' phenomena. Not when potential `living locations' may exist within our solar system if not Earth itself (and actually, any location could be developed by an advanced universe traveling group with superior technology) - for example under the oceans or underground or in very remote locations. Or, aliens able to simply employ `invisibleness' when needed.


Lets also not throw out UFO's being more real than archetypes for this reason -- if we are to believe that the `Skinwalker Ranch' had portals to another dimension - and that `portals' exist -- then we certainly do NOT need Archetypes for any significant explanation of UFO's specifically. And, indeed, if we looked more closely at the physics of `portals' - as opposed to the legends of antiquity or meme's of modern-day - we might be closer to the aliens that really matter to humans on Earth.

New Poll - Aliens That Travel In Crafts

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting UDCC today. Today's post is a small one and is simply pointing out the new poll --> on the sidebar that asks about `aliens' who `travel in crafts' - along with what is called in marketing research - a frequency table.

Please note the EXACT question - as - it does NOT ask about `entities' that seem to `materialize' on Earth for a temporary period of time (whether you call `them' aliens or not) - this question is about ONLY `aliens' who actually live and travel in `crafts' that come to Earth (yes you would/could include those that `travel in crafts' that somehow come from beyond the time-cone of space-time).

Other than that - the question I think is clear enough and self-explanatory. I will do a `write-up' of the results when the survey period is over. So, please, consider your answer and vote - and - feel free to comment too.

UFO Disclosure Countdown Clock - Official June Time Remains At 6:00 A.M.

So, I see it's the 11th -- and about time that I posted the UDCC official June `clock setting' concerning UFO Disclosure. As you can see - I cannot detect any reason to change the time from last months 6AM setting - `dawn'. I keep that symbolic setting to indicate the strong unlikelihood that ANY movement of significance is lurking in the government side of the UFO saga.

And a saga it is - as I alluded to last month and repeatedly for the last 2.5 years - with fiction UFO sites by an aspiring movie producer - used to blur the line between fiction and non-fiction. As regular readers might remember - I call this type of website a `Type 3' UFO website (the ones with `inside' knowledge) - the other types can be found here - http://ufodisclosurecountdownclock.blogspot.com/2010/05/ufo-knowledge-take-your-pick.html - and, as you might know - Type 3 UFO sites are the lowest of the low to the other four types of UFO sites - including this one.

All that said; IF one day ALL of the seeming carppola that comes out of Type 3 sites turns out to be true (the above story has former President Carter at a center point) - and NOT just a Barf Stew story -- I will be the FIRST to apologize (for my disbelief) - because, if you were to believe the above - the UDCC clock setting should be at 11:58 PM at least - and, I would assume - would reach 12:00 on 12/21-12 - right?

Finally, IF you are a movie producer - PLEASE MAKE MR. HAMMONS MOVIE. OR, you might just be abducted by an alien who has no special powers - except for vanishing.

UFO `Knowledge' - Take Your Pick

One thing I don't talk about much is my background as a market research analyst - but, at times - it is very helpful in gaining some understandings about the whole UFO saga. Let me try to provide a basis for that.

Often when I conduct `focus groups' or one-on-one qualitative research - `human' things can occur; such as one person becoming `dominant' in the group setting, or, a `product attribute' being loved AND hated for the exact same reasons by different people. 

Now, the `dominant' person had many ways to achieve this - from always trying to be the first opinion on any subject - to talking louder - to putting down others ideas - (you get the drift). And, as far as `attributes' - one person might love for example a salty taste and another hate it - to use the simplest example.

So, let me take that as a backdrop and examine the `attribute' of `UFO Knowledge' - as certainly that is a `positioning' that nearly all UFO websites take in one fashion or another in an attempt to appeal to the `universe' of UFO internet surfers/seekers - most of whom are trying to find `something' that fits (confirms) their view about UFO's.

The Historian Positioning

These UFO websites endlessly debate the so-called `great' UFO cases - the Roswell's and such. THEY are the experts in the lore of UFOology in the beginning era of UFO's (40's-50's). THEY maintain that without a complete knowledge of what happened and who hoaxed 50+ years ago that YOU are ignorant of the `real deal' about UFO's. Normally, these sites are arrogant and uncompromising - and generally position all that happens in UFO's these days is influenced by popular culture and not worth studying or even the time of day. However, even in the `historian' sites the debate is endless and non-conclusive.

The Experiencer Positioning

There is a huge range of `experiencer' websites that involve UFO's and/or Aliens. BUT, for ALL of these sites - the existence of UFO's is NOT in question. Most of these experiencers have seen a UFO craft close up (oldsters) or even been aboard one (newsters-hipsters). These sites give strong credence to those who report experiences similar to their own - but, - with the `crafters' (those who have seen a craft) generally somewhat dismissive of (or at least less accepting) `abductees' on-craft experiences. `Experiencer' websites do not focus on `the history of UFO's' and consider that focus somewhat silly and frivolous.

The Inside Knowledge Positioning

This could be considered to be the core attribute of the  Exo-politics belief system. THEY have (almost always government)`insiders' who KNOW. But, like the other two UFO website types, they too have `factions' - that view others INSIDE knowledge as BS. (Not realizing that it makes ANY `inside info' suspect?) For these IK websites, often considered total BS by the other two types - the sky is the limit for their stories. Humans have star fleets and have been in other star systems -- multitudes of types of aliens are already here on Earth; etc.

The Caller Positioning

Perhaps the rarest of pure UFO sites are those run by `UFO callers'. Actually, much more accurately, `ORB' callers. These websites are generally run by people offering `proof' to the world by regularly `videoing' `balls of light' in the sky. Most of these folks have some sort of `protocol' that they follow to assure success at seeing or filming orbs. Many of these folks like to say they are calling UFO's or alien intelligences. Again, for many of type 4, this is a sacred experience.

The Disclosure Positioning

Finally, we come to perhaps the least important of the types of UFO websites - Disclosure websites. However, in the purest sense, this is the ONE that the government `responds' to - as we have seen one nation after another release their so-called UFO files - almost always redacted. These websites act like EVERYONE wants disclosure and that it supposedly would be WORLD CHANGING info to the populous.

What about THIS websites positions?

Personally, I'm most identified with type 2 as in 1991 I had an experience of seeing at close range a `saucer craft'. That said, I do not make any leaps into aliens as the operator of the craft IMO could have been human, alien, or self-run -- I have NO way of knowing such info and do not infer. Now, within type two, I generally am in the camp that nearly all `abductions' - BUT, not necessarily ALL - are `subjective' experiences of one sort or another (and could even be mystical in some manner involving entities).
Now, my personal opinions on the other `types' of positionings. Generally, I'm `over' the Historians; only `slightly believe' the Inside Knowledge crowd; find the `callers' of great interest concerning issues of consciousness; and I try to wrap that all up in this Disclosure Blog.

UFO Spectrum Broadens Into Absurdity - UDCC Clock Maintains Symbolic 6:00 A.M. Setting

As some of you know, I recently started a new blog with the title of Barf Stew (you can find the link on the sidebar) - and the reason I tell you this is - today's Disclosure Clock update - would easily take what I call Today's Barf Stew Tag. You see, the `proofs' of humans and realities `other worldlyness' - is now reaching tangents once only written about in bad science fiction short stories. I will get to all of this in a moment.

As you know, if this blog is anything, it is a true overview of one persons opinions about the `state' of the UFO coverage and UFO disclosure movement (if such a movement exists) on a monthly basis. The movements of my so-called clock - are largely influenced by the quantitative amount of MSM coverage of UFO's first; and an evaluation of the depth of that coverage; -- combined with - the internet coverage I am aware of that includes the full spectrum of `anomalous' reporting that tangentially involves UFO's (which is a huge tangent that includes UFO/Bigfoot reports, UFO/Missing Time reports, UFO/Aliens reports, UFO/Abduction reports, UFO/Secret Budgets, UFO/Exopolitics, etc etc etc.).

With that as a backdrop, the absolute `current' view - trying to satisfy some valuation to each attribute listed above - has IMO never been so out of wack. At least in my watching and evaluating of the scene since late 2007. Indeed, let's start with the latest wacky stuff to fit into your worldview. Indeed, your reality view.

(There is no reason to cover the MSM's coverage this month as there was none. After all, MUFON told the media the 2010 Euclid Lights were airplanes.)

Yes, I refer to the new stuff on the absolute edge of the Exopolitics scene - the Time-Travel/Mars Life, SERPO, Solar Warden edgy stuff. This link in the past month http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-2912-Seattle-Exopolitics-Examiner~y2010m5d1-Why-is-Hawking-affirming-time-travel-theory-and-appearing-ignorant-of-DARPA-secret-time-travel - with the picture that provides the PROOF of time-travel - is poised to take the cake as the most outlandish claim of 2010. (Interestingly, it followed, within days, of an internet meme of a time-traveler in a 1900's photo.) The claim reminded me of Steven Greer's FIRST alien photo just a few months ago (yes, the one in boots and goggles) - which had previously claimed the most outlandish claim of the new millennium. Could the MSM ignoring of the first photo of an alien or the proof of time-travel be more complete? Or, do they know Barf Stew when they see it?

(Nevertheless, perhaps Greer is calling something, and perhaps, Basiago is right about some life on the surface of Mars - complicating the whole saga even more.)

To me, it's beyond amusing the range of ideas available to consume about this whole UFO saga. From believing humans have traveled to other star systems and lived there - or - backwards in time to a Lincoln speech - or - secret societies on Mars (underground) - to underground secret societies on Earth - to our best science minds at NASA working on a parallel worthless projects (if we were to believe the Exopolitics lore) to mislead the public at large. And with SETI producing only one WOW signal in half a century of listening. And finally, again in the past month - links to articles indicating that humans are being infiltrated by human looking aliens. (Never mind the policeman who sees and has a video of reptilians.)

(Meanwhile, ORBS, are seemingly becoming more real by the day.)

ALL the while - the democratic governments release old time dusty files about UFO's in a soft disclosure to get the whole thing behind them. No wonder so many bloggers are burning out on the whole scene - the UFO spectrum has broadened into absurdity.

I'm reminded of Paul Revere and the Raiders song title - Kicks (just keep getting harder to find).

Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft - Does Little Known Study Of `UFO's' Suggest The Amazing?

Hello, and welcome to the UFO Disclosure Countdown Clock (UDCC) - thanks for visiting today. And, yes, the opening words of the title of today's post was indeed part of a song by Klaatu in 1977. (For the full and interesting story about the REAL origin of the words -  see wiki's link at the bottom.) Interestingly, during that exact timeframe - a UFO study called Project Identification was being conducted over a 7 year period (1973-1979) that identified and quantified `lights in the sky'.

Ultimately, the mainly Missouri  observation project would have over 600 observers in 158 viewing locations who observed 157 `light/orb/ufo' type of events (mostly in 1973). These 157 events actually had 178 UFO's with one observation of 10 lights. Many of these observations were made by physical scientists who had university equipment such as telescopes, a magnetometer- Geiger counters, a spectrum analyzer and so on.

In 1967 scattered reports of strange lights and disc-shaped objects hovering and moving over the Mississippi River along southeast Missouri were made to local and other authorities. .....By early 1973 UFO activity to the west of this area had increased to such an extent that virtually all the state's newspapers and tv stations were routinely issuing stories....hundreds of people were seeing odd, multi-colored lights darting around in the sky, popping on and off, changing colors and shape, and instantly changing directions. Ufologists with the ET belief system tend to ignore most anomalous "night-light" reports, but none of the mainstream ufologists dug deep enough to understand the more intriguing aspects of the reports from this area. But many people also reported these lights came close to their homes and when closely viewed, they looked like "craft," sometimes saucer-shaped......Perhaps the oddest finding of all was that everyone on the team was convinced that the objects responded to being observed. The project cites 32 cases where the UFOs directly responded to the ground station observers. Rutledge and his team concluded that the objects were aware of their presence and would interact with them, sometimes seemingly toying with them. As the project began to wind down, Rutledge noted in later interviews that some balls of plasma, 2-6 inches in diameter, would actually follow him around and even appear inside buildings. He found, as do many people who become intrigued by the UFO phenomenon, that the deeper you go into it, starange things begin happening. An observation once made by John Keel seems appropriate. Keel mentioned that if you notice and become interested in the phenomenon, it can notice you and become interested in you. That is essentially what Rutledge concluded

And, frankly, just like that, Greer's `vectoring' becomes a possibility; as does Dean Clark's callings (which when observed by a MUFON investigator was categorized as `spiritual') http://aliencasebook.blogspot.com/2008/09/kentucky-man-has-more-ufo-sightings.html ; and, yes, even Prophet Yahweh.

But, it doesn't take too hard of an internet search to produce almost any number of individuals who are going out and videotaping `Orbs' - balls of light - Tulpas -- and perhaps yes - UFO's or ET crafts of some sort, almost on a daily basis. (It is also possible that the phenomena may simply `look like' a saucer for human perception consumption.)

As you may know, I've covered this very `issue' before http://ufodisclosurecountdownclock.blogspot.com/2008/09/how-to-see-ufos.html but, that was BEFORE my awareness of this study that concluded over 30 years ago. Importantly, the observers back in the 70's DID NOT have prior reports or memes of the internet to taint their observations.

Indeed, those events and the ones of our current era (there are reports of `balls of light' all the time in the MUFON reports and others that talk about the lights `following' people or cars) deserve MUCH more than a passing interest or glance as far as trying to figure out at least PART of the UFO phenomena.

It also points out the need to have a hugely open mind when it comes to the full range of this anomalous phenomena. And, it is certainly possible that MORE than one type of phenomena is operating with similar structures of perception to humans.

UFO Disclosure Clock Retreats To 6:00 AM - Amid UFO Blogger Burnout - As MUFON/BAASS Manipulations Turn `Euclid Lights' On Again

Boy oh boy - where do I begin? First, the UFO Disclosure Countdown Clocks official April time is now 6:00 AM - a retreat of 6 hours from the March (UDCC) setting - and back to the general area it has resided since the inseption of this blog - near Dawn. Indeed, I now see NOTHING AT ALL that suggests that UFO disclosure is even remotely imminent. That is, other than the `soft disclosure' that any number of nations seem to be taking to `get the whole thing behind us'. (Which is VERY suspicious to me.)

And, as you can see from the complex title - the whole `UFO thing' seems to be taking a toll of its own - bloggerwise. Indeed, just this week Bruce `Tin Foil' Duensing wrote - Does Ufology Have A Future When It's Non-Exsistant? - http://materialintangible.blogspot.com/2010/04/does-ufology-have-future-when-its.html Saying that it was  "Time to get as far as I can from the maddening crowd. I need to dunk my head under a bucket of cold water."

Need more? How about the MUFON former director writing this week - Goodbye Ufology, Hello Truth - http://followthemagicthread.blogspot.com/2010/04/goodbye-ufology-hello-truth.html where he clearly blasts all the UFO'ogists currently pontificating - and MUFON.

And, now to the MUFON mess - or what appears to be a mess. To that end - let me begin by saying I got an E from Lon at Phantom and Monsters the other day alerting me to his post (which includes a link to this website too) - titled - 'Lake Erie Lights' Videographer Claims Coercion By Bigelow Operative - http://naturalplane.blogspot.com/2010/04/erie-lights-videographer-claims.html and in the post - Lon goes on to list 5 links to complete the story about BAASS's seeming intervention directly with the Euclid Lights filmer. (BTW, Lon's link includes NEW Euclid Lights UFO's/ORBS.

One of those links is to a post by Alfred Lambremont Webre (who commented on this blog in my last post March 17th and who will be featured in two of my upcoming internet posts) - who details the new `suspension/review' of the BAASS/MUFON/(FAA?) connections - here - http://www.examiner.com/x-2912-Seattle-Exopolitics-Examiner~y2010m4d7-FAA-removes-Bigelow-UFO-directive-issued-to-air-traffic-controllers-pilots-from-website - it seems that BAASS is less than pleased with the manner of the spending of their money at MUFON.

Yes, the FAA reports to BAASS/Bigelow http://aliencasebook.blogspot.com/2010/04/video-faa-pilots-now-have-ufo-hot-line.html - and BAASS/Bigelow/MUFON are also in ca-hoots. Or, were in cahoots. In fact, according to Webre "“Due to the evidence of financial mismanagement quoted above, BAASS has lost confidence in the ability of MUFON to continue into the future as well as providing the future deliverables for which BAASS has contracted.” - I assume those `deliverables' would be the highly contentious cases that get reported to MUFON (find out those types of high profile cases with the above link) - that would then - be funded by a BAASS/MUFON investigation.

Are you saying HMMMMMM? Yet?

Well, I was even before all the recent developments outlined above. Indeed, to me, at times - it seems ONLY Lon and I give a crappola about all of this stuff. As if others who talk UFO's don't want to touch it. So be it.

But, that, finally, brings me back to the Euclid Lights - which - was my post on March 17th. You see, I grew up in Euclid Ohio - for 18 years. Lived all over Euclid. Know what the Euclid shoreline is like (the UFO's were observed over the lake) - indeed, my mother lives on the Lake (not in Euclid however) - literally right on the north coast.

So, let me explain why, to me, the whole Euclid Lights affair - and MUFON's involvement (BAASS's too evidently) smells like Perch (everyone in Euclid in the 50's and 60's grew up on Friday Perch) - in other words - fishy.

First, shortly before the Euclid Lights, lots of weird stuff was in NE Ohio skies - http://www.vindy.com/news/2010/feb/21/are-ufos-in-our-midst/?newswatch -- and by March 12th - the lights had been showing up for 9 (nine) consecutive days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVXo-EP8Rkk&feature=player_embedded Indeed, by the time I covered it on March 17th (MUFON gets involved about 3/12) it was almost two weeks of witnesses - multiple witnesses - multiple videos - etc.

Now, while Lon's link above indicates that MUFON said `Venus' first - I remember them saying it was a mystery. However, whatever the first blush - they came back that same week and said that the Euclid Lights `were aiplanes going to and from the airport' - and that MUFON had `radar' confirmation. (So just forgettaboutit.) Of course, all of this was taking MUFON at it's word.

Immediately, my Gaydar went up - I mean my UFOar BS meter.

So, MUFON was telling us to `go away - nothing here to look at' - much like a cop at a traffic accident or crime scene. "The media can take their attention away now. Get on with your life losers. We are the official word you need ask no questions."

So, let me tell you what smelled like skunk spray.

First, I have been watching planes come into and out of the airport all my F-ing life from out over the lake -- and guess what? THEY MOVE TO OR FROM THE AIRPORT - they do not remain stationary in any manner that would fool observers for more than a few seconds or at most a minute. AND THAT DOES NOT DESCRIBE WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN EUCLID OHIO. Those Orbs - were stationary often - split into two or more often - faded in an out, often. Ect - not at all acting like a plane. TO SUGGEST THAT OBSERVERS WOULD NOT SEE THAT IT WAS GOING FROM THE AIRPORT OR GOING TO THE AIRPORT IS STUPID. As is Venus as an answer.

And, finally, to the supposed call from a BAASS operative to the Euclid video man.

"According to Erlikh, at approximately 6:45pm EST, on Thursday night (April 8, 2010) a private telephone call came into his residence. Eugene answered and the man on the other end assumed to know it was Eugene and called him by name. The man identified himself as a member of Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies. He did give his name and email that is, in fact, linked to the BAASS.ORG domain name. He asked Eugene a number of questions pertaining to the sightings over Lake Erie. The man then demanded Eugene give up the exact coordinates of the location the lights are appearing. When Eugene questioned the man, he stated he knew the lights were not terrestrial or from this planet and there's big money involved in obtaining that technology. He instructed Eugene to email him the coordinates. Eugene immediately hung up the telephone"




Ok, we only have a man SAYING he was from BAASS with a working E-mail - but - as far as I know - that E could have been public info and someone was playing a prank. It is one possibility. But, lets consider the alternatives.

Let's say it WAS a BAASS man. Why would he think that Erlikh had "the exact coordinates of the location the lights are appearing"? Can you answer me that? I can't. And, WHY, would a BAASS guy say to Erlikh that "there's big money involved in obtaining that technology." - Can you think of ANY reason? I can't. OR, why would BAASS tell Erlikh that "the lights were not terrestrial or from this planet" - And, again, the same question - why would they tell him and HOW WOULD THEY KNOW?

It's almost that they wished he would come forward with this `new'`news' - so that as one who KNOWS that the Orbs are not from Earth - that Erlikh would look like THE FOOL. Or, perhaps, Erlikh would JUMP at the words BIG MONEY and want to get rich (and avoid telling the truth to the media) and give these supposed co-ordinates of value. (Why the MUFON person couldn't have provided this is another mystery?)

So, the question now remains - IS THERE BIG MONEY IN PORTALS TO ANOTHER UNIVERSE? And, why and when will BAASS release the many UFO reports it's gotten from pilots over the last decade - and when and why - is MUFON playing games?
