My Reaction To The Holts Summit UFO Reports

Yesterday I provided an in-depth look at one of the UFO hotspots... Missouri .... and the experiences recorded by one gentleman..... I wrote to him my overall view about his thoughts about the UFO phenomena that I had been able to discern via  scanning his writings about his real experiences. He has also indicated to me that the LACK of viable links to his videos and pictures at Dropbox is being investigated on his behalf - he indicated that some of the material is on his twitter account too.

Anyhow, this is a part of what I wrote privately back to him:

Hi Tye. First, I thank you for reaching out to my blog and blogging efforts. Not knowing how familiar you are with my blogs - specifically UFO Disclosure Countdown Clock - it's hard to gauge where to begin with your UFO phenomena experiences. I guess the first thing to say is that I covered the UFO phenomena in Missouri BIG TIME a few years ago and have tons of material-stories similar to your experiences. In just reading a dozen or so of your pages - several things stand out and connect directly with my analysis in my blogging about the phenomena. One is that - like it or not - you are one of about 2 dozen `Orb Callers' that I've identified so far - a search of my website under Orb Callers will yield MUCH reading for you to see how similar or dissimilar their experiences were. I can tell you that some are nearly identical... even some have similar `theories' similar to your own ideas (that I've read so far). 

My Missouri coverage highlighted some of the experiences around the Lees Summit area - very in-depth - right down to interviewing the airport manager. What stood out about that flap and others I've been following since 2007 via the MUFON reports - is how the Orb/UFO phenomena projects one image/perception and yields yet another `photographic' image of itself completely different - often to most of the time the pictures look nothing like the perception. Also, the CLOSER the phenomena - the more distorted (potentially) the experience and phenomena is. I've even described a MOTIF for such encounters as the Orb phenomena seems to be `developing'.

All that said, I also see that you've been strongly considering the `ideas' of the `UFO Disclosure' crowd - something I call a dog an pony show. I have major differences with many of their opinions and `proofs' of aliens.... and I know you aren't a UFO researcher per se -- but the UFO Abduction phenomena (as far as BEDROOM experiences) has been largely discredited.... though that idea is only strong among some UFO researchers that I admire and communicate with. Oh, btw, that does not diminish your `intuitions' about when and where the phenomena may actualize. (you might want to look up Feather Orb on youtube or my blog - my blog may have directly inspired that experience of another).

As you may have gathered even from my wording of this e-mail back to you - I look VERY closely at the phenomenology of the experience(s) - and have a view only a phenomenologist might have.... (and if you think UFO experiencers are rare - phenomenologists are almost non existent). Oh, btw, I've had `anomalous' experiences, with others, while fully conscious, that I refuse to relate to my readership - so, nothing is impossible in a fortean, phenomenology based world IMO. You can share any experience and I'd have a one up with a completely different explanation. Just sayin.

Now, all that said, I mentioned some overlap - eerie overlap and NOT for the first time... and that is the #2 pencil lead below the skin acquired as a child and in my right hand below my middle finger and still visible. With a FULLY remembered experience of acquiring it that my father told me never happened. (My memory is of stabbing my hand at the age of 5-7 in a liquor store that I was in with my father.) - I've seen other photos by other experiencers that looked nearly identical to mine. Perhaps yours too.

I have not looked at one bit of your `evidence' and honestly don't need to - you are preaching to the choir. That said, of course I will look at at least some of your video and picture proofs. I've seen many structured Orbs videos and pics - they are bamboozling. Especially if you are caught up in their web of influence (like my Feather Orb reader in San Antonio.)..... You are also in need of seeing what Dean Clark was able to `bring forth' into the skies around his home in Kentucky in front on MUFON in 2008-09, eventually it was called a `religious display'. And, finally for now - the influence of Robert Bigelow on just about everything anomalous since the early 1990's is the most undertold story in `paranormal' and UFO's are front and center.

1959 UFO Analysis 'What Can They Be'?

One of the very few blogs I have on my reading list at blogger is The Big Study (you will find it in my sidebar too) by 'The Professor' - who takes a fantastic approach to the subject IMO - and who has TONS of old time UFO material that he owns and features often. His latest post is not an exception to his fine on going service to the UFO community..... Anyway, he's dug out a simple list that brings 10 ideas about what 'UFO's Might Be'. The full great post is Here and I will use an excerpt or two I'd like to feature below. Oh, BTW, he has left out possibilities from beyond our Earth - paranormal possibilities. The chart below was from Ivan Sanderson in one of those UFO mags of the era 'Fantastic Universe Science Fiction'

If the list and the picture above is not enough to stimulate your inquisitive mind (or to read the Professor's article) let me add just a thought or two to the proceedings - the slippery slope of Phenomenology allows for the manifestation of UFOs most likely IMO - at least in the majority of human perceptions/consciousness of the remembered UFO events.

As a phenomenologist my 'able to not be' type of space idea allows for nearly all of the above alphabet soup of UFO possibilities to be 'true' - as the phenomena, even when technological is relentlessly temporal.

LMR's - The Daily Analysis

Good Morning Readers - thanks for stopping by with a part of your free time - much appreciated. As regulars around UDCC know, much time is spent here looking at the Latest MUFON Reports an on-going public listing of `UFO' reports. Indeed, while the number varies on any given day - normally there are about 10-20 reports - which include a mixture of `old' and `current' type of reports. As Clockers know (regular readers around here) some of the `new' reports are about events literally `decades' ago.

And, as Clockers know, I generally try to bring a mix of those reports to UDCC (while now starting to focus more of those `decades old' reports at my `other UFO blog') including any videos that MUFON has that are of any real value; which as Clockers know are exceedingly rare. Nonetheless, nearly daily I look for such material for my readers - so that your curiosity about these matters is satisfied without YOU having to sift through the morass.

And, as Clockers know, UDCC used to frequently use YouTube ~UFO~ videos, but, as readers know --- those videos have largely become useless in many regards on a day to day basis. You see, as UDCC has been reporting and indeed about the ONLY UFO website to report ---- they are now useless due to `gathering sites' which routinely mix total CGI videos into the mix. These videos are then being `picked up' by the MSM of `anomalies' such as Huffington Post and the few truly traffic'd UFO websites. (Promoting almost clearly false videos with NO attribution nearly always.)

Makes for a very slippery slope as, of course, MUFON reports are highly suspect too. IMO. That said, the vast majority of MUFON reports IMO are what I call of `real UFO perceptions' - and I like to look for the similarities and differences in the reports in a aggregate manner. And, obviously, I try to pick the `best' most articulate reports to feature - when possible - as some reports are so atrocious in grammar and spelling as to be near parody's of themselves (and of course a few of each type, articulate and atrocious are FAKE and don't even represent someones perceptions of an event).

And, on occasion I will be fussing with my formatting of how I approach the LMR's for readers. Today for example and perhaps the start of a pattern - will be a `quick focus' on what happened and was reported WITHIN the last calendar day. So, with that in mind FIRST: These reports were of events on 5/8 or 5/7 - Today or Yesterday:

5/7 - Norman Oklahoma, 1000 feet in air, Boomerang Shaped Object With Lights on Wings - With NO Sound Quick read.
5/7 - Roann Indiana, On-going `Portal' in the sky at Same Location In The Sky....... And unlike most videos that are presented - and while this one takes just a BIT of imagination, perhaps, -- IMO -- this video indeed does show a somewhat strange Square Space Within A Cloud. Hmmm.
5/7 - Coon Rapids Minnesota, FOUR White Cylinder UFO's With Black Bands - traveling same path several minutes apart.... size of airliner fuselage ... multiple witnesses... I couldn't really get either of his two videos to play but maybe you'll have better Luck with this one.
5/7 - Waterlief Michigan, Multiple, Recurring, Hovering Orbs Scare Family - claims to have moving Orbs near ground on video,... wants help via MUFON.
5/7 - Texarkana Texas, Moving Strange Light In Sky observed by husband, wife for five minutes. Amusing description of husband by wife (who submitted the report).

Five `anomalous' perceptions reported nearly immediately in one day in a country with a population of over 300 million. To put things into perspective.

That said, there was some stuff that caused excitement that had a delay in the reporting - including a structured Orb Line or two in pictures: Like this one from Saint Albans, Vermont on 5/6. Slow moving silent lighted object for one minute - multiple witnesses, pictures and even a short Video in which the video guy says he can slightly hear it.

The video is less than persuasive and indeed this could be anything from LED's on a kite to a RC possibly. (just like the last 5/7 report IMO).

Lastly, a report on 5/6 from that UFO hotbed San Antonio where the submitter of this report goes to great length to suggest that it might be military in the area - the LOTS of military in the area. See link for list of military in the SA area.
